Drinking some Meridian Sangiovese tonight. Very pleasant, easy drinking wine. They say it pairs well with pizza and pasta and I believe it. Slightly sweet and low acidity so it won't wipe out the bread. At the moment I'm drinking it on its own and it holds up nicely.
I generally view Meridian's wines with a healthy amount of skepticism because they are owned by one of the largest beverage producers in the world, Fosters. But their wines are consistently delicious and well crafted.
